BAE Systems receives $169.2 million for MK 41 launch system components

The Naval Sea Systems Command has awarded a $169,216,659 contract modification to BAE Systems Land & Armaments for the production of canisters and ancillary equipment for the MK 41 Vertical Launching System. The modification exercises options under a prior firm‑fixed‑price contract (N00024-24-C-5324) and covers deliveries for the U.S. (53%), Australia (23%), Japan (13%) and the Netherlands (11%) under Foreign Military Sales. Manufacturing will take place primarily in Aberdeen, South Dakota (90%), and Minneapolis, Minnesota (10%), and the contract is expected to be completed by April 2031.
