Howmet: demand exceeds capacity, massive expansion planned
Howmet said at the Jefferies conference that it is seeing strong demand from aerospace, defence and especially industrial gas turbines, driven by the energy needs of AI data centers. The company is operating close to its physical capacity limit and is investing heavily in new melting furnaces, plants and process improvements to raise output. Management expects faster growth in the turbine business and plans to raise guidance in February; the target is revenue of over $10 billion by 2026 with leverage around 1.2x.
