Ion Beam Applications: pre-tax profit rises 920% after strong half-year

Ion Beam Applications reports net revenues of €323.7m in the first half (+6%) and a gross margin of 33.7% (+4.2 percentage points). Adjusted EBIT climbed to €17.6m (+66%), while pre-tax profit rose to €12.3m (+920%). The company confirms its 2026 guidance (adjusted EBIT at least €32m) and shows an order backlog of around €1.6bn, about half in high-margin service offerings. Ion Beam Applications receives major order for Brazil and remains attractively valued

Ion Beam Applications has received an order for a ProteusONE proton therapy system in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, primarily to treat pediatric patients. The group reports a record order backlog of around €1.6 billion and calculates the end-customer price including maintenance at €35–45 million. Ion Beam Applications receives fourth ProteusONE order in Taiwan

Ion Beam Applications has won another order for a ProteusONE proton therapy system for MacKay Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. The company also secured the quality assurance package from IBA Dosimetry; delivery and installation are planned to enable treatment start in 2029.
