Kraft Heinz dividend frozen at $0.40 as impairments weigh on earnings
Kraft Heinz has kept its quarterly dividend at $0.40 since May 2020 after a prior cut, while Q2 posted a negative $6.43bn operating income driven by $7.4bn of goodwill and intangible impairments. Management expects adjusted operating income and EPS to decline in FY2026 and faces roughly $890m of interest expense, but Q1 free cash flow of $766m covered $474m in dividends and the company paid down $1.9bn of debt. The dividend remains covered for now, but the freeze reflects a funded turnaround amid weaker underlying earnings and heavy impairment-related charges. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Kraft Heinz moves listing from Nasdaq to NYSE
Kraft Heinz announced it will move the listing of its common shares from Nasdaq to the New York Stock Exchange effective September 14, 2026; trading will continue under the ticker symbol KHC. The exchange change affects only the trading venue and is intended to reflect the company’s transformation and the creation of long‑term shareholder value, CEO Steve Cahillane said. Kraft Heinz reported net sales of about $25 billion for 2025 and operates in more than 40 countries; its portfolio includes brands such as Heinz, Kraft and Philadelphia. » More on de.investing.com
Kraft Heinz records $7.4 billion impairment as sales and volumes decline
Kraft Heinz took $7.4 billion of impairment charges in the quarter, driving a $6.4 billion operating loss and reflecting weaker-than-expected brand and trademark valuations. Adjusted sales fell 1.3% year over year as higher prices failed to offset a 2.6 percentage-point volume/mix decline. Management under CEO Steve Cahillane has boosted marketing, sales and R&D spending, but expects full-year sales to decline 0.5%–2% and faces pressure that could threaten the company’s $0.40 quarterly dividend despite a roughly 6.2% yield. The article concludes the shares look more like a potential value trap than a clear buy given ongoing sales and profitability headwinds. » More on finance.yahoo.com
