ZhongAn Online Insurance posts more than double profit in H1 2026

ZhongAn Online Insurance reported a net profit attributable to parent shareholders of RMB 1.55 billion for the first half of 2026, up 132.2% year on year. Gross written premiums were nearly stable (-0.6%), while underwriting profit rose 17.8% to RMB 773 million and investment income from insurance assets increased 150% to RMB 1.596 billion. ZA Bank returned to profitability (net profit HKD 71 million). The company is pursuing quality-oriented growth, further reducing its consumer lending business and maintaining a tactical equity allocation of around 8–8.5%.
