The agency based the decision on operational improvements, cost reductions and debt repayments of about $583 million in fiscal 2026, including proceeds from the sale of the Dickies brand. VF Corp. reported a leverage ratio of 3.9x and interest coverage of 3.1x for the twelve months to June 2026; Moody’s expects improvements to roughly 3.1x and 4.2x, respectively, by the end of fiscal 2027 and the repayment of a bond maturing in April 2027.
