X-Energy pairs AI with Xe-100 reactor program to accelerate design and licensing
X-Energy, public since April, joined Project Prometheus and is using AI to speed reactor design, regulatory documentation and operations for its 80 MW Xe-100 small modular reactor. The company reports a 144-reactor pipeline (~11.5 GW) and is building TRISO fuel capacity via TRISO-X’s TX-1 facility in Oak Ridge to support initial deployments. Q2 revenue rose on engineering and government programs, but X-Energy remains unprofitable with $1.9 billion liquidity and no debt. The stock is presented as a high-risk nuclear growth play given licensing, construction and commercialization hurdles. » Más en finance.yahoo.com
X-Energy receives additional DOE funding of up to $1 billion despite quarterly loss
X-Energy reported a second-quarter loss of $0.15 per share on revenue including grants of $54.6 million, driven by engineering services in the ARDP. The U.S. Department of Energy increased ARDP funding for X-Energy by up to $1 billion, bringing the government cost share to as much as $2.115 billion. The company held $1.9 billion in cash and assets at the end of the quarter, was debt-free, and secured binding HALEU supply contracts with Centrus and General Atomics. Management cites progress on TX-1, projects with utilities and a conservative cash focus, but warns of continued high spending and execution risks. » Más en de.investing.com
X-energy invests $8m to double graphite capacity for Xe-100
X-energy has agreed to invest up to $8 million in milestone-based payments with SGL Carbon to double production of NBG-18 graphite at the Chedde, France site. The expansion is intended to enable manufacture of graphite blocks for up to eight additional Xe-100 reactors per year and to double European NBG-18 capacity by 2030; SGL is also expanding U.S. machining capacity. The move builds on a ten-year framework supply agreement from January 2026 (initial three-year order >$100 million) and supports commercial deployment of the Xe-100 in projects with Dow and other partners. » Más en de.investing.com
