OMV increases adjusted quarterly profit by 20% to €1.26 billion

OMV raised its adjusted profit in the third quarter by 20% to €1.26 billion, beating market expectations. Net profit was €543 million, well above analysts’ estimates of €436 million, while revenue fell six percent to €6.3 billion due to lower oil prices and the disposal of the SapuraOMV stake. Operationally, the fuels division shone (operating result doubled to €413 million) and chemicals rose 64% to €222 million. OMV cuts cash-flow forecast to 2030 and trims investment framework

OMV lowers its long-term target for cash flow from operating activities to 2030 from at least €7.5 billion to more than €6 billion, but confirms the adjusted operating profit guidance of more than €6.5 billion per year. Daily oil and gas production is expected to rise to around 400,000 barrels by the end of the decade. Due to the deconsolidation of Borealis as it is merged with Borouge into Borouge Group International, planned investments for 2026–2030 are set to fall by about €3.5 billion; overall, average annual investments of €2.8 billion are planned, around 30% of which will go to sustainable projects.
