Adecoagro completes acquisition of Caarapó mill for $136 million

Adecoagro has completed the cash acquisition of the Caarapó mill from the Raízen group for R$705 million (about $136 million). The mill processed 3.5 million tonnes in the 2025/26 season; the purchase price equates to roughly $39 per tonne of processing capacity. Adecoagro acquires Brazilian Caarapó sugarcane mill for 148 million US dollars

Adecoagro reached an agreement with the Raízen group to buy the Caarapó mill in Mato Grosso do Sul for about 760 million R$ (around 148 million USD). The transaction includes sugarcane plantations and existing supply contracts; in the 2025/26 season the mill processed about 3.5 million tonnes of sugarcane and can produce sugar, hydrous/anhydrous ethanol and renewable energy. The deal will be paid in cash, is subject to customary contractual conditions and requires approval from the Brazilian antitrust authority (CADE); closing is expected before October 1, 2026.
