BW LPG falls after weak Q2 numbers and operational headwinds

BW LPG shares fell about 5.4% premarket after a disappointing Q2 2026 report in which earnings per share of $0.79 missed the consensus of $1.17. The Product Services segment posted a large non-cash loss, mainly due to an unrealized mark-to-market valuation change of −$145m, and the shipping business generated TCE revenues of $74,000 versus an expected $81,000. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz exacerbates short-term trade-flow risks and is likely to delay the recovery of exports from the Middle East by 12–36 months.
