P&O Ferries said an isolated incident on a Calais–Dover sailing on 31 August led to a link containing passenger personal information being inadvertently shared with several customers. The company is contacting affected passengers directly, apologised and said it takes data security seriously. The Ruby Princess recorded a norovirus outbreak during a 20-day San Francisco round trip, with 102 of 3,032 passengers and 23 of 1,144 crew reporting illness characterized mainly by diarrhea and vomiting. Princess Cruises implemented enhanced sanitation, isolated sick individuals and collected samples for testing, and says cases have since decreased before the ship's next departure.
