OHB shares recover after Isar Aerospace success

OHB shares on XETRA most recently rose to €194.00, gaining 5.32 percent after having earlier hit their lowest level since January. The improved sentiment in the sector was triggered by the successful second test flight of Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum rocket, which placed five satellites into orbit. OHB falls to six-month low after capital increase and earnings revision

OHB shares recently plunged to around €175 (Xetra) after an attempted floor at €220 failed and institutional investors triggered sales following the €300 capital increase. Despite new projects and expected profit growth, the consensus P/E for 2026 still stands at about 57 and is forecast by analysts to fall to roughly 35 in 2027. OHB receives just under one billion euro contract for 18 Iris² satellites

The Bremen space company OHB is to build 18 satellites for the EU’s Iris² communications initiative and will receive just under one billion euros for the work. The first OHB-built satellites are scheduled to launch in 2029; the overall 348-satellite project aims to provide eavesdrop-proof, crisis-resistant communications for government agencies, the military and businesses and to strengthen Europe’s sovereignty.
