GeoPark acquires 65% of Bare Block in Venezuela and issues shares to Grupo Gilinski

GeoPark takes a 65% net working interest in the Bare Block in the Orinoco heavy oil belt and will operate the field under a 25-year production-sharing agreement with PDVSA. The transaction is an equity deal: GeoPark issues 42.1 million new shares at $12.22 to Grupo Gilinski, making Gilinski the majority shareholder with about 56.3%. The block is currently producing roughly 11,000 barrels/day, has OIP of 15.7 billion barrels and peak potential up to 95,000 barrels/day; GeoPark has around $700 million of liquidity to fund development. GeoPark reports stable Q2 production and three-year drilling rig contract in Argentina

GeoPark reported average production of 27,271 boepd for Q2, nearly unchanged from the prior quarter, with 25,871 boepd in Colombia and roughly 1,400 boepd gross in Argentina. The company carried out multiple wells and frac phases and signed a three-year contract with Helmerich & Payne for a dedicated drilling rig; the first well is expected at the end of Q4 2026. GeoPark increases revenue, stock falls after missing earnings per share

GeoPark reported Q1 2026 revenue of USD 128.4 million (+16% vs Q4 2025), while earnings per share of USD 0.23 missed analyst expectations. The stock fell 6.82% in after-hours trading to USD 9.15. Adjusted EBITDA rose significantly, the company announced a quarterly dividend of USD 0.023 per share and highlighted operational strength in Colombia and Argentina.
