The packages with additional services are already launched in several countries and are expected to start in Germany around mid-2027, while the basic conditions for free account maintenance will remain in place. A representative Forsa survey commissioned by ING and Visa shows young adults’ trust in the statutory pension continues to decline (from 56 to 49 percent). 79 percent worry about old-age poverty, while more than half already save privately for retirement.
