Xiaomi unveils 18 Fold with 6,000mAh battery, triple camera and new Arm GPU

Xiaomi introduced the 18 Fold, a short, wide book-style foldable that pairs 7.58-inch inner and 5.38-inch outer OLEDs with up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. It debuts Xiaomi's Xring O3 chipset with Arm Mali G2‑Ultra NX GPU, a 6,000mAh silicon‑carbon battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a Leica‑backed triple rear camera including a 200MP main sensor and 3.5x periscope. Xiaomi has unveiled the foldable smartphone 18 Fold, which when closed is the size of a passport, can display three apps side by side and is powered by a self-developed processor. The device starts at $1,540 and uses memory chips from CXMT. Xiaomi unveils humanoid robot and its own AI chip, plans Germany launch for electric cars in 2027

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Xiaomi showed the humanoid robot CyberOne outside China for the first time; in tests it significantly reduced screw-fitting error rates in a car factory. The company also introduced the foldable Xiaomi 18 Fold with its self-developed AI chip XRing O3 and emphasized increased control over AI models, semiconductors and smart manufacturing. Xiaomi announced plans to invest more than €24 billion in research and development through 2030, focusing on AI, chips, electric cars and robotics.
