Altri SGPS reports sharp profit drop in Q1 2026 after storm damage

Altri SGPS posted a steep decline in results in the first quarter of 2026: EBITDA fell to €5.4m (Q1 2025: €18m), and net profit turned into a loss of €7m (Q1 2025: +€8m). Severe storms in Portugal caused €10m of exceptional costs and temporary production disruptions; net debt rose to €348m. Altri: market oversupply reduces 2025 EBITDA by 57%

Altri reported EBITDA of €94.1m for 2025 (−57% versus 2024) on revenue down 18% to €702.8m and net profit of €21.4m. The EBITDA margin fell to 13.4% and ROCE dropped to 6%, while the fourth quarter already showed sequential improvements. Management points to stabilizing trends in Asia, is focusing on cost discipline and advancing diversification projects, including expansion of textile pulp capacity, an acetic acid/furfural project and the majority stake in AeoniQ.
