Bock will lead the gold and copper operations in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia‑Pacific and will report directly to Mark Hill. Barrick Mining subscribes for 15,470,934 units of Kingfisher Metals for a total of approximately CAD 20.9 million, bringing its holding to about 9.9% currently, diluting up to 14.1%. Each unit consists of one share and one-half warrant; a full warrant entitles the holder in two years to acquire an additional share at CAD 1.70. Barrick secures extensive participation and veto rights on projects and commits to certain voting behaviour; in return the company offers technical support for drilling programmes in the 2027/2028 seasons. Kingfisher intends to invest at least 80% of the proceeds in exploration and development of the HWY-37 project in the Golden Triangle.
