CAE USA has received a fixed‑price contract worth $45,319,364 from the US Air Force to deliver and install an FAA Level D full‑flight simulator for the 747‑8i, plus an initial logistics package. Work will be performed in Tampa (Florida), Saint‑Laurent (Quebec) and at Joint Base Andrews (Maryland). CAE and Saab signed a memorandum of intent to cooperate on training, simulation and mission-support solutions for the Gripen in Canada, subject to the Canadian government selecting the Gripen. CAE is to establish and operate a Canada-based training ecosystem including pilot training, simulator operations, technical instruction and maintenance services; the partners will also examine development and upkeep of mission systems and joint R&D initiatives.
