SDAX company Drägerwerk reported third-quarter earnings before interest and taxes of around €48 million, down from just under €57 million a year earlier; this figure includes customs refunds of €20.1 million. Revenue rose 2.1 percent to about €851 million, and order intake climbed 8.2 percent to €926 million. The annual forecast was confirmed. The Drägerwerk preferred share is slightly under pressure but, after a strong rally, remains markedly higher than three years ago. A hypothetical investment of €1,000 three years ago would, including reinvested dividends (€1.80 on 9 May 2024, €2.03 on 12 May 2025, €2.27 on 11 May 2026), have grown to around €3,063, equivalent to a total return of about 206%. Without dividends the value would be about €2,785, so most of the gain comes from the price increase. Fundamentally, the company is supported by two recent price-target increases, and a further raise was discussed internally. However, after a year-to-date gain of almost 70%, the stock would be vulnerable to a market correction or profit-taking.
