eGain share falls more than 20% after disappointing outlook

The eGain share plunged about 22.5% premarket to $5.51 after the company released its Q4 and full-year 2026 results. Despite earnings beating expectations, revenue guidance deteriorated sharply: revenue from AI customers grew 20% to $55.1 million, but total Q4 revenue fell 4% to $22.2 million. For 2027 management forecasts total revenue of $84.5–86.0 million (around 7% below 2026) with revenue from existing customers down roughly 40% and ARR collapsing about 60%. eGain beats profit forecasts, weak outlook sends stock tumbling

eGain reported non-GAAP EPS of $0.08 for the fourth fiscal quarter (consensus $0.0287) on revenue of $22.2 million, slightly below estimates. Full-year revenue rose 3% to $91.1 million; revenue from AI customers grew 20% to about $55 million, and operating cash flow reached a record $21.2 million. For fiscal 2027, however, management forecasts only $84.5–86.0 million in revenue and expects a sharp decline in the legacy business (legacy revenue about −40%, legacy ARR −60%), after which the stock fell 25.6% in after-hours trading.
