Implantica grows 66% after FDA approval and prepares US launch

Implantica increased net revenue in Q2 by 66% to 717.000 EUR and improved the adjusted gross margin to 94%, but remained unprofitable with an operating loss of 4.2 Mio. EUR. The FDA approval for the RefluxStop implant is seen as a turning point and paves the way for a phased market launch in the US; the company has produced 13.000 devices and reported more than 100 interested surgeons. Liquidity stands at 41.7 Mio. EUR, with no interest-bearing liabilities; estimated annual costs for the US launch are 7–15 Mio. EUR. Implantica receives FDA approval for reflux implant RefluxStop

The US FDA has granted Implantica Premarket Approval (PMA) for the reflux implant RefluxStop, allowing the company to begin commercial rollout in the United States. The approval is based on five-year long-term data demonstrating safety and efficacy.
