NexPoint Diversified Real Estate Trust buys stake in secured promissory note of $962,000

The operating partnership of NexPoint Diversified Real Estate Trust acquired an undivided interest in a secured promissory note with a principal amount of $962,000, part of a facility of up to $40 million for NexPoint Storage Partners Operating Company. The agreement with NexPoint Real Estate Finance Operating Partnership became effective March 30, 2026; the note matures January 16, 2031 and bears interest at 14% p.a., payable in kind (PIK). Currently $22.7 million of the facility is outstanding; NREF bears any draws not funded by the participants. NexPoint Diversified Real Estate Trust has filed an application with the Ontario Securities Commission to terminate its reporting obligations in Canada following its merger with NexPoint Hospitality Trust. The change affects several Canadian provinces but does not impact the listing on the New York Stock Exchange or reporting requirements in the United States.
