Safe Bulkers has signed agreements to acquire four newbuilds from Japan: three Kamsarmax vessels (82,000 dwt) with deliveries in 2029 (two in H1, one in Q3) and one Capesize vessel (182,000 dwt) for H2 2029. The three Kamsarmax units will be financed from cash; the Capesize will be acquired via a finance lease under a ten-year bareboat charter with purchase options after five years.
