Switch plans US IPO with about $50 billion valuation

Switch has confidentially filed for a US IPO that Bloomberg says could take place as early as November. Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley are expected to lead the offering. The company is targeting a valuation of about $50 billion including debt; at the same time Switch is negotiating financing led by Andreessen Horowitz and expects Ben Horowitz to join the board. Switch is conducting a private placement of about $2 billion led by Andreessen Horowitz that could value the company at nearly $50 billion including debt.
