At the Citi Global TMT Conference, Uniti said the merger with Windstream brought scale, a simplified capital structure and operational synergies of more than $100 million. The company now has about 250,000 route kilometers of fiber and more than 2 million FTTH customers; the broadband brand Kinetic is currently connecting far more households than planned. At the same time, management signaled increasing price pressure in the consumer business from mobile operators, cable companies and fixed wireless, while the fiber enterprise business is growing on strong order intake and AI demand. Uniti Group, via its subsidiary Kinetic ABS Issuer LLC, has placed secured fiber bonds totaling $1.14 billion. The issuance comprises three tranches (A-2: $805.2m at 5.834%, B: $134.2m at 6.224%, C: $201.3m at 7.536%) with a weighted average coupon of about 6.18% and an expected maturity in June 2033; closing is scheduled for July 15, 2026. The bonds are secured by fiber networks and customer contracts across multiple US states and were offered to qualified institutional buyers under Rule 144A and outside the US under Regulation S.
