    Volkswagen, the state of Lower Saxony and investor Aurelius have agreed on key points for the sale of the Osnabrück plant. After car production ends in 2027, the site is to be gradually converted into a competence centre for security and defence solutions; the first project planned is the production of Iron Dome air defence systems. Aurelius is to take a majority stake, Lower Saxony a minority; around 1,400 of 1,800 jobs (about three quarters) could thus be preserved.     According to a report, investment firm Aurelius is in exclusive negotiations to buy Hain Daniels, the European arm of Hain Celestial, which includes brands such as Ella’s Kitchen, Linda McCartney’s, New Covent Garden and Hartley’s. Aurelius emerged as the leading bidder after a competitive auction, but no final agreement has been reached and the transaction could still fail.
