Power Grid misses Q1 forecast due to regulatory headwinds
Power Grid reported Q1 2027 EPS of 3.87 INR versus a forecast of 4.20 INR and revenue of 124.2 billion INR (forecast 124.6 billion INR); profit after tax fell slightly to 3,598 crore INR. Regulatory effects of 560 crore INR (330 crore depreciation adjustment, 230 crore interest variance) weighed on results, while the core business showed growth in transmission charges, capitalization and collections. The company commissioned 1,635 circuit kilometres and 10,500 MVA of capacity, increased gross fixed assets and announced FY2027 capex of 37,000 crore INR and capitalization of 30,000 crore INR. The stock barely moved as investors weighed the earnings drag against a strong project pipeline and operational strength. » More on de.investing.com
