Tilray invests £50m in BrewDog to improve beers, pubs and working conditions
Tilray, which bought BrewDog in March for £33m after the brewer entered administration, is investing more than £50m to improve beer quality, reopen and upgrade selected bars, raise pay and improve working conditions. The company is upgrading the Aberdeenshire brewery, launching new beers, introducing US craft lines into BrewDog venues and considering further UK craft acquisitions. Administrators said creditors will not be repaid in full and crowdfunding shares were rendered worthless, though some investor benefits and supplier continuity have been maintained. » More on theguardian.com
Tilray positioned to benefit if Trump advances marijuana rescheduling
A federal appeals court refused to pause the Biden administration's move to consider broader rescheduling of marijuana, keeping alive a proposal to reclassify cannabis to Schedule III. Tilray reported record fiscal 2026 revenue, sharply improved cash flow and near-elimination of net debt, and management sees U.S. rescheduling as a future growth opportunity. Legal challenges and timing remain uncertain, so potential investors should view rescheduling as upside rather than a guaranteed catalyst. » More on finance.yahoo.com
