Alnylam shares plunge in 2026 but analysts remain largely bullish
Alnylam's stock fell over 50% year-to-date earlier in 2026 and remains roughly 40% below its peak, yet 22 of 29 surveyed analysts rate the stock a buy or strong buy with an average 12-month target implying about 50% upside. Analysts cite continued robust revenue growth, sustained market exclusivity for Amvuttra versus Vyndaqel/Vyndamax until 2031, and AstraZeneca's late-stage setback for Wainua improving prospects for Alnylam's nucresiran as reasons for optimism. Management projects commercial launches for nucresiran in ATTR-PN by 2028 and ATTR-CM by 2030, and the stock trades at low multiples and a PEG of 0.32, suggesting an attractive risk-reward despite execution risk. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Alnylam cuts 2025 TTR forecast despite strong AMVUTTRA growth
At the Morgan Stanley conference Alnylam reported strong AMVUTTRA growth, with Q2/2025 marking the first quarter with $1 billion in revenue, but lowered its 2025 TTR franchise forecast to $4.2–4.5 billion due to a normalization of the patient mix, moderate pricing pressure and increasing competition. Management continues to emphasize a large, underdiagnosed market opportunity and high physician acceptance, as well as a pipeline with multiple near‑term data catalysts (including Huntington’s chorea, obesity, bleeding disorders and hypertension). Alnylam also outlined measures to safeguard access in case of possible 340B rule changes, announced international launches and sees a later generic entry for Tafamidis as a relieving factor. » More on de.investing.com
Alnylam: TTR franchise tops $1bn per quarter, 2026 forecast adjusted as growth normalizes
Alnylam reports that the TTR franchise, about 18 months after the launch of the cardiomyopathy indication, has for the first time exceeded $1bn in quarterly revenue, driven by AMVUTTRA market share gains and broad US access. The company lowered its 2026 revenue forecast as the early influx of second‑line patients normalizes and international pricing pressure is expected in some markets. Alnylam views the competitive landscape positively after the delayed patent expiry of tafamidis and the failure of a competitor study, and highlights pipeline progress—especially TRITON‑CM to mivelsiran and programs for Huntington’s disease and coagulation disorders. » More on de.investing.com
