Grand City Properties, controlled by Aroundtown, has increased its stake in LEG to 20.04 percent; the package is worth around €700 million. LEG’s share subsequently rose by about 2.5 percent, and analysts were surprised by the rapid acquisition. It is unclear how Aroundtown financed the purchase; Aroundtown’s residential portfolio would become its largest segment with a 42 percent share following the stake.
