S&P raises outlook for CCL Industries to "positive" and affirms BBB rating
S&P Global Ratings has raised its outlook for CCL Industries from "stable" to "positive" and affirmed the issuer credit rating at "BBB." The decision was justified by strong metrics, including adjusted debt/EBITDA of around 1.1 as of 30 September 2025 and adjusted EBITDA up about 40% since 2019. CCL completed share buybacks of roughly USD 300 million in the first nine months of 2025; S&P expects future annual buybacks of about C$400 million and acquisitions of around C$500 million. S&P sees room for higher shareholder distributions and acquisitions while maintaining debt/EBITDA below two times, and it sets out clear criteria for a potential upgrade or downgrade. » More on de.investing.com
