Cisco falls about 6% while peers hold steady, pointing to single-name selling
Cisco stock slid roughly 6% to about $105 during a session when sector ETFs XLK and QQQ traded higher and peers Arista and Ciena were essentially flat, indicating a company-specific move rather than a networking demand scare. Piper Sandler recently cut its price target to $125 while maintaining a Hold, and Cisco's 38% YTD gain leaves scope for profit-taking. Investors are advised to watch for follow-up analyst notes, filings or company updates to identify the catalyst and gauge whether the decline stabilizes or continues. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Cisco expands Splunk partnership with Cisco AI POD to capture more enterprise AI spending
Cisco introduced the Cisco AI POD for Splunk to bring Splunk AI to on‑premises, private‑cloud and air‑gapped environments using Cisco infrastructure and Nvidia acceleration, and struck a multi‑year AWS deal to co‑develop Splunk‑centered AI security products. The move aims to extend Cisco's AI exposure from hardware into software, observability and security as AI workloads grow. Cisco reported $9.3 billion of AI infrastructure orders in fiscal 2026 and about $4 billion in AI infrastructure revenue, targeting roughly $7.5 billion in fiscal 2027, but faces the challenge of converting infrastructure momentum into higher‑margin, recurring software revenue given modest observability growth. Execution and margin pressure from infrastructure competition remain key risks to whether the initiative materially boosts Cisco's bottom line. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Cisco brings AI POD for local Splunk deployments with NVIDIA integration
Cisco expands its partnership with NVIDIA and introduces the Cisco AI POD for Splunk, a Kubernetes-based infrastructure solution for AI workloads in on‑premises, private‑cloud and air‑gapped environments. Also announced were Splunk Agent Observability with tokenomics features, new edition tiers (Essentials, Premier) for the Observability Cloud, and enhancements for Splunk Enterprise Security. Cisco also signed a multi‑year cooperation with AWS to develop joint security solutions and named implementation partners including bitsIO, Wipro and World Wide Technology. » More on de.investing.com
