DAVIDsTEA closes private placement of $3m to finance expansion in Canada

DAVIDsTEA completed a $3m private placement by issuing 3,333,334 units at $0.90 each; each unit comprises a common share and a half warrant. Whole warrants permit the purchase of additional shares at $1.25 in the first year and $1.50 in the second year and include a call provision if share prices remain high. Proceeds will be used to open new stores in Canada and to fund working capital; together with $2.7m in revenue-based financing, the total equals $5.7m.
