  • DaVita shares fall sharply after US kidney care plan

A new plan from the US Department of Health on kidney care weighed on dialysis providers and caused DaVita shares in New York to drop by more than 7 percent. JPMorgan analyst David Adlington called the plan largely rhetoric with few concrete measures and highlighted concerns about the debate over financial support for patients and increased use of transplants. Fresenius Medical Care also saw losses in after-hours trading due to its dependence on the US. » More on finanzen.net

  • DaVita partners with Humana to care for Medicare patients with CKD 3B–5

DaVita has launched a value-based care agreement with Humana that, since July 1, is intended to serve more than 10,000 Medicare Advantage members with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3B to 5. DaVita Integrated Kidney Care provides coordinated care focused on cardiovascular, renal and metabolic needs, emphasizing early interventions to stabilize kidney function and delay disease progression. The model leverages DaVita’s network of about 3,000 partner nephrologists and includes care coordination, education on home dialysis and transplantation, and support for barriers such as nutrition, transportation and mental health. The partnership expands an existing end-stage collaboration into earlier stages of the disease. » More on de.investing.com

  • DaVita rises after upgrade by TD Cowen

TD Cowen upgraded DaVita from "Hold" to "Buy" and raised the price target from $201 to $220, citing an improved market position versus the largest competitor and the results of the MOTheR study, which it sees as providing new growth potential without high equipment costs. The stock climbed in premarket trading after DaVita reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $4.02 and revenue of about $3.55 billion, beating consensus estimates. The share price had earlier fallen after the results due to an unchanged full-year outlook and slightly lower revenue per treatment, which TD Cowen now views as a buying opportunity. Long-term risks noted by the firm include potential share sales by Berkshire Hathaway and ongoing litigation. » More on de.investing.com
