At the Scotiabank Financials Summit, Definity Financial said the acquisition and integration of Travelers Canada has been faster and more successful than expected, moving the company from #6 to #4 in the Canadian property and casualty insurance market. Annualized cost synergies were raised from CAD 100 million to CAD 125 million; growth in H1 2026 was 35% (25% from Travelers, 10% organic). Definity confirmed its full-year revenue guidance of about CAD 6.5 billion, a target combined ratio of around 95%, and highlighted ongoing M&A activity, expansion of its broker network, and the profitability of its direct platform Sonnet. In the short term, higher weather-related claims are putting slight pressure on the ratio, but management expects synergies and portfolio optimization to improve returns medium-term. » More on de.investing.com
