CMS guideline on TAVR reimbursement strengthens Edwards Lifesciences
US agency CMS has published a final national reimbursement guideline for TAVR that also provides reimbursement for asymptomatic aortic stenosis, thereby strengthening the TAVR market. Stifel views the decision as positive for Edwards Lifesciences and expects it to support the long-term revenue growth forecast of over 10%. The guideline retains case volume requirements and the role of the heart team including cardiac surgeons, but allows asynchronous chart review and requires only a single TAVR operator in the room, which increases procedural efficiency. CMS also announced a national review of reimbursement for TAVR in aortic regurgitation, expected to conclude on June 8, 2027. » More on de.investing.com
