  • Gerresheimer completes sale of Centor to Apax Partners

Gerresheimer has completed the sale of its US business Centor to Apax Partners; the proceeds are to be used primarily to reduce debt. The separation of the Primary Packaging Plastics division is to take place in the first half of 2027. After the transaction, which is part of a portfolio shift toward primary packaging and drug-delivery systems, the share price fell intraday by up to 3.35 percent. » More on finanzen.net

  • Gerresheimer increases adjusted EBITDA significantly in second quarter and plans sale of Centor

Gerresheimer reports operational improvements in preliminary Q2 results: revenue €578m (adjusted €614m prior year) and adjusted EBITDA €102m (adjusted €126m prior year). Adjusted EBITDA is more than 50% above the previous quarter, which the CFO says is a sign that the transformation program is taking effect. To reduce debt, the US subsidiary Centor and the primary packaging plastics business are to be sold; deals are expected shortly. Gerresheimer expects to publish final Q2 and H1 figures by the end of November. » More on deraktionaer.de

  • Gerresheimer shows clear operational recovery in second quarter

In the second quarter, revenue rose quarter-on-quarter by 10.5% to €578 million, adjusted EBITDA climbed by over 50% to €102 million and the operating margin improved to 17.6%. Compared with the previous year, however, revenue and EBITDA remain below the 2025 level, so the half-year result is slightly down. The full-year guidance was lowered to the lower half of the previous revenue range (€2.3–2.4 billion) and to an adjusted EBITDA margin of 17–18%, while the planned sale of Centor and the plastic packaging business to Apax (enterprise value around €1.5 billion) is intended to help reduce debt. If the recovery continues and the targets are met, the company sees significant turnaround potential after the share-price crash. » More on finanzen.net
