  • Newell Brands accelerates turnaround after first organic revenue growth since 2022

Newell Brands reported 2.3% organic revenue growth in Q2 2025 and raised its 2025 outlook to flat to +1%; management expects 2–3% organic growth in Q3. Drivers include distribution gains in the US, a record pipeline of 25 tier‑1/2 product launches in 2025, and nearshoring production to the US; seven of the top ten brands grew. Gross margin has improved by about 500 basis points over three years and debt has fallen below 4.5x, though it remains a focus; tariffs and inflation continue to weigh but are expected to ease in the medium term. » More on de.investing.com

  • Newell Brands issues 2031 senior notes of $600m to refinance 2027 paper

Newell Brands placed $600 million of senior, unsecured notes due 2031 in a private placement with a 6.25% coupon. Proceeds will be used to fully repay the 2027 notes (6.375% coupon) at a repurchase price of 101.53% of par and to partially repay the revolver after fees. The indenture includes covenants and mandatory repurchase provisions on rating downgrades or change of control; some covenants can be suspended if the company achieves investment-grade status. Moody’s affirmed the B1 rating with a stable outlook and assigned a B2 rating to the planned 2031 issuance. Newell also reported better-than-expected Q2 results and raised its full-year guidance. » More on de.investing.com

  • Moody’s raises outlook for Newell Brands to stable and affirms ratings

Moody’s has raised the outlook for Newell Brands from “negative” to “stable” and affirmed the B1 Corporate Family Rating and other bond ratings. The agency also assigned a B2 rating to a planned $500 million issuance of unsecured senior notes (maturing 2031), the proceeds of which are intended to fully repay notes due in 2027. The decision is based on improved operating results in Q2 2026, the first annual revenue growth in four years, market-share and distribution gains, and expected earnings and cash-flow growth. Newell’s leverage improved to 6.2x EBITDA (6.9x without a $100 million tariff refund) and, Moody’s says, should fall to about 5.3x (5.9x without the refund) by the end of fiscal 2026 and remain below 6.0x in 2027. » More on de.investing.com
