BaFin imposes €320,000 fine on Nomura over late voting-right notifications
BaFin fined Nomura €320,000 for multiple late voting-right notifications related to Unicredit’s takeover of Commerzbank. The regulator cited breaches of the Securities Trading Act but considered the corrections minor, which is why the fine was comparatively low. Nomura had supported Unicredit, among other things, via total return swaps and other derivatives and at times had access to more than 8% of Commerzbank’s shares. » More on handelsblatt.com
