  • Schindler shares fall after Goldman Sachs downgrade and postponement of capital markets day

Schindler shares lose around 2% and trade at about CHF 251, close to the 52-week low of CHF 238. Goldman Sachs downgraded the stock from "Neutral" to "Sell" and cut its price target from CHF 286 to CHF 233, citing weaker construction and new-installation figures in China, an uncertain interest-rate environment, and the competitive threat from the merger of KONE and TK Elevator. In addition, the postponement of the capital markets day to November 19 weighs on sentiment, as investors await strategic clarity. » More on de.investing.com

  • Goldman Sachs downgrades Schindler to "sell" and lowers price target

Goldman Sachs has downgraded Schindler from "neutral" to "sell" and cut the 12-month price target from CHF 286 to CHF 233. The bank cited a lack of catalysts, weaker organic growth, continued weakness in construction starts in China, and margin pressure from commodity and price developments. Goldman Sachs reduced its revenue and adjusted EBIT estimates for 2026/2027 and sees limited prospects for additional cash distributions despite announced industry consolidation. The recommendation is also based on below‑average share performance year‑to‑date and valuation metrics that provide little support in a peer comparison. » More on de.investing.com
