SCYNEXIS expands focus to rare diseases and plans phase II for ADPKD drug SCY-770
At the Cantor Fitzgerald Healthcare Conference, SCYNEXIS presented its repositioning as a company for orphan indications, with two programs: an antifungal and the AMPK activator SCY-770 for ADPKD. Near-term catalysts are the completion of two phase I studies this quarter and the planned start of a phase II study by the end of 2024, with interim data expected in the second half of 2025. Management says cash runway is sufficient to reach the next milestones and highlights long-term patent protection and potential orphan exclusivity. » More on de.investing.com
