Sun Art Retail Group says it has lost contact with board chair Li Weiping; an industry outlet reported she was taken by police to “assist an investigation,” which the company called fake. Alibaba Group reported Q1 fiscal 2026 net income attributable to shareholders rose 67% to 40.65 billion yuan and revenue increased 1.9% to 247.6 billion yuan, driven partly by mark-to-market gains and the disposal of Trendyol's local consumer service business. On a like-for-like basis excluding Sun Art and Intime, revenue grew 10% year-on-year.
