Tandem Diabetes relies on pharmacy model, Mobi‑Patch and international direct sales for growth
Tandem Diabetes unveiled a long-term growth plan that includes a pharmacy-based pay-as-you-go model in the US, broader rollout of the tubeless Mobi‑Patch pump in the second half of 2026, and expansion of direct sales activities in selected international markets. The new US model is intended to remove the initial cost barrier for patients and bring up to 80% of US sales through pharmacies; internationally, the company expects higher prices and better follow-on care via direct business. New patient starts stalled in the second quarter, but Tandem expects growth in the second half of the year driven by product dynamics, seasonal demand and additional PBM coverage. At the same time, the company is advancing automation projects, including development toward a fully closed‑loop insulin system and integration of existing CGM technologies. » More on de.investing.com

Tandem Diabetes Care lags after reimbursement shift clouds near-term revenue
Meridian Small Cap Growth Fund said Tandem Diabetes Care underperformed in Q2 as its transition to a pharmacy-based, pay-as-you-go reimbursement model reduced near-term revenue visibility and second-quarter guidance missed expectations. The fund noted added caution from a new competing patch-pump entrant and that Tandem’s lower-beta profile lagged in a market favoring high-beta names. Meridian remains invested, citing the company’s differentiated pump technology, growing installed base and recurring supply revenue, and views the reimbursement change as a long-term positive. » More on finance.yahoo.com
