voestalpine shifts transports from Danube to rail due to low water
Because of the low water level of the Danube, voestalpine is moving a significant portion of its raw material and goods transports to rail. CEO Herbert Eibensteiner calls the change a logistical effort but so far manageable; if the drought continues, shipping will likely only be possible again after rain. » More on kurier.at

JPMorgan double upgrade lifts Voestalpine stock
Voestalpine shares rose about 6.3% to €43.36 after a double upgrade by JPMorgan. Analyst Dominic O’Kane raised the rating from Underweight to Overweight, citing new EU protective measures for steel imports that sharply cut duty‑free quotas and raise tariffs on excess volumes. JPMorgan also upgraded competitors and expects European steel prices to rise in the second half of 2026. Voestalpine also reported strong fundamentals, with almost triple net profit, reduced net debt and an EBITDA guidance for 2026/27 of €1.60–1.85 billion. » More on de.investing.com
