Berkshire CEO Greg Abel said the company increased its Alphabet stake by a further $17 billion in the second quarter, after Berkshire had already entered via a private placement in June 2025 for $10 billion at a 6.5% discount. According to the Q2 filing, Berkshire holds about 106 million Alphabet shares worth roughly $36.6 billion, making Alphabet its third-largest stock position.
