BYD considers billion-dollar deal for car carriers amid strong export growth
BYD is reportedly considering an order worth around $1 billion for additional car carriers to logistically secure rapidly rising overseas sales. Between January and August 2026, exports rose 85.7% to about 1.16 million vehicles, while domestic sales fell by roughly one third. The annual target has been raised to 1.9–2.0 million vehicles; analysts still see upside for the stock. There has been no official confirmation of the ship order yet. » More on finanzen.net
BYD benefits from the electric car boom in Germany despite rising fuel prices
Despite record prices for Super E10, new registrations in Germany rose by 2.6 percent in August, driven by a strong increase in electric cars. Pure battery-electric vehicles made up 32.4 percent of new registrations; BYD sold significantly more vehicles from January to June than in the previous year and noticeably increased its market share. The trend is supported by the government electric-car subsidy, but experts warn of a drop in demand once the subsidy ends. » More on wiwo.de
BYD moves into top tier among German electric-car buyers
A BearingPoint study shows that BYD has become noticeably more attractive to people interested in buying electric cars in Germany and ranks fifth among those respondents. Buyers are increasingly evaluating brands by price, range, battery expertise and warranty rather than by country of origin. BYD was able to increase its new registrations from January to July by 141 percent compared with the previous year and is growing faster than the overall market, while established German manufacturers continue to enjoy high awareness. » More on finanzen.net
