Audi unveiled the compact A2 E-tron with a starting price of £32,200 and an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.24. Configurations offer up to 401 miles WLTP range and consumption as low as 12.8 kWh/100 km, plus bidirectional charging and a standard curved MMI panoramic display. Audi presents the A2 e-tron as its most economical electric car to date, with WLTP consumption from 12.8 kWh/100 km, an LFP battery (58 kWh net) and a range of up to 500 km. The compact model on an MEB+ platform will be built in Ingolstadt, is scheduled for production from autumn 2026, with orders starting 10 September and market launch in December. Baden-Württemberg’s Minister-President Cem Özdemir, responding to Volkswagen’s surprise savings plan, is calling for concrete proposals for the Audi plant in Neckarsulm, including products and investments that extend beyond 2034. He expects the VW board, supervisory board and Audi management to use the remaining window of time and stresses the importance of management, the works council and the union.
