DZ Bank raises the fair share value for Continental from 79 to 86 euros and keeps the rating at buy. The sale of ContiTech was fixed at a higher company valuation than expected, and a large portion of the cash inflow is to be distributed to shareholders. JPMorgan reaffirmed its recommendation for Continental, triggering share gains of around 1.9 percent in Frankfurt. The bank pointed to stronger demand for passenger-car replacement tyres in China and a robust truck replacement-tyre business in Europe, as well as initial easing in oil-based derivatives and rubber prices.
