Datadog sees AI-enhanced growth prospects at Citi conference
At the Citi Global TMT Conference, Datadog reported revenue growth of 36% in the last quarter and said growth is expanding beyond AI-native customers to traditional customers, which are growing in the high 20% range. The number of AI-native customers rose to about 750, and gross customer retention is in the high 90s. The company is shifting to AI credits and more flexible pricing, invests roughly 30% of revenue (~$1bn) in R&D, and is acquiring Adaptive ML to accelerate work on reinforcement learning and custom models. Datadog views observability as a central software category in the AI era and expects further growth from deeper usage by existing customers, new products, and higher AI infrastructure spending. » More on de.investing.com

Datadog rises premarket after strong results from Snowflake
Datadog shares climbed about 5.7% premarket after Snowflake’s quarterly results, which were well above expectations, triggered a sector-wide sympathy rally. Snowflake reported revenue and product revenue growth of over 35% each and adjusted EPS of $0.62, sending its stock sharply higher. The rise in Datadog is thematically driven by the close link in the market for AI-powered cloud infrastructure and follows a recent roughly 22% drop for Datadog after reduced usage by a key AI customer. The broader market showed little movement, so the price impulse is mainly sector-specific. » More on de.investing.com
