GSK accelerates R&D and reinvests £1.9bn, sees patent expiry as an earnings risk

At the Bernstein conference GSK presented a strategy focused on accelerated research, faster launches and simplification of processes. The company is increasing the number of phase‑III starts, plans to reinvest most of the £1.9bn in cost savings into the pipeline—primarily oncology—and points to a broader late‑stage pipeline following the Nuvalent takeover.
